For the purposes of the Marines there is nothing to distinguish between them- they are enemies of America, fighting together to take away our freedom.
Of course, when he tags along with the "insurgents" while they're shooting at U.S. troops and he gets hit by return fire, the MSM ("paging Eason Jordan") will bleat that the U.S. military is "targeting" journalists. You bet your a** we are, if they're hanging out with the armed enemy.
