Our very own FReeper "Doctor ZIn" created an AMAZING website called "Regime Change IRAN"...
...which has been nominated as one of the finalists for the "Best Middle East blog" in the Annual Weblog Awards.
WeblogAwards.org
www.WEBLOGawards.org
Since "Iraq the Model" won LAST year...
...and since the elections in Iraq show that tremendous progess is being made over there -- in spite of DNC/media reports to the contrary...
...and since Doctor ZIn is a FReeper...
...and since Iran is currently governed by a MAD MAN...
...and since "Iraq the Model" is O.K. with "Regime Change Iran" winning THIS year:

Please go to that website, vote RIGHT NOW for "Regime Change IRAN"

As I just posted on the OTHER thread:
Our friends at ITM just posted a request for votes...

So the game heats up!!! - posted on 12/15/2005 1:21:52 PM PST by DoctorZIn

From http://weblogawards.org/2005/12/best_middle_east_or_africa_blo.php
Here is how Regime Change Iran WAS chipping away at Iraq the Model's lead - until about an HOUR ago:
12/14 4:42 pm - 2507/2212 - 295
12/14 8:07 pm - 2571/2315 - 256
12/15 01:41 am - 2647/2411 - 236
12/15 6:40 am - 2676/2471 - 205
12/15 7:22 am - 2688/2503 - 185
12/15 8:14 am - 2702/2557 - 145
12/15 8:55 am - 2707/2588 - 119
12/15 11:36 am - 2746/2698 - 48
12/15 01:18 pm - 2786/2750 - 36
12/15 2:05 pm - 2895/2779 - 116 :(
It seems that the MASSIVE traffic to their website (as a result of today's ELECTION over there) is overcoming the effects of our FReeping...
...which I guess we COULD live with, as "IRAQ The Model" is certainly a VERY worthy competitor.

The current standings:
ITM . . 3372
RCI. . . 2907
- we are currently DOWN by 465
It appears that the people have spoken...
...and the general consensus is, today is for the IRAQIS.
An equally noble cause, "Regime Change Iran" will have to wait until NEXT year. :(

As I posted on the OTHER thread:

THANK YOU to EVERYONE, for helping to put Doctor ZIn's WONDERFUL blog "on the map" -- if not in "first place" --

THIS year...
To paraphrase our Biblical FRiends: "Next year, in Tehran!"

Ron

From Doctor ZIn's profile page:

The Iranian student activist above is Ahmad Batebi and is still in an Iranian prison for this 1997 protest.
