I would slightly disagree, if you read what Pipes says, Islamism is really no different than Nazism or Communism, sure there is a religious cloack that it's wrapped in, but the domination of a nation by sharia seems to me to be both a political as well as religious goal.
If Hitler had made Nazism an official religon, would we have won WW2?
