Violent thugs like Tookie would not live as long on the street as he did in prison. He would have been long gone and the state of CA wouldn't have had to fork over millions in the care and upkeep of this criminal. This is not swift and sure justice as envisioned by our founders. The army of lawyers who sucked juice out of the system were definitely saddened by Tookie's long-delayed death.

Totally correct, still it bothers me that its 25 years on death row...Cal. needs to seriously rethink their commitment to justice and start putting the juice in the caboose of a lot of bad guys!

At what cost in innocent life and mayhem? Let him serve as an example to others. Some men dread murder because it is wrong, others dread it because murders are hanged.
