So true. The victims are dehumanized, while we are expected to feel some deep empathy for the killer.

I've never felt kindness for the truly evil. Maybe that's a flaw in me but I've always thought our compassion should be reserved for decent people. Our world would be a lot be better off if we all treated each other, not like strangers but like family.
