Yep, I am against the death penalty. That being said, I think the Gubanator upheld the law.
I am against the death penalty because I think it is too easy on the criminals, takes up too many resources in endless appeals and just serves as a cause celebre for stupic celebrities who probably wouldn't know Mumia Abu Jamal from a mummy.
I think the death penalty should be reformed. No more lethal injections - that's what you give your old, ill pet that's in a lot of pain. For death row criminals, they should use the electric chair or a firing squad.
And no more endless appeals. Each death row inmate should be allowed one appeal and no more. Anyone who thinks that's too harsh should remember that the victims who were murdered didn't get any appeals at all.
Naw, the stupid appeals take up too much time and money. The death penalty, if enforced, would not do that.
