Until Christ returns we will have two absolutes. One is we will have murders and two we will have out of control courts. We cannot stop the first, we can try to put controls on the second by giving another branch veto power over the death penalty.

I was living in California when the initiative for the death penalty was put before the voters. I voted 'yes'...with the majority! These are not the days to coddle vicious criminals. Try it with one of the jihadist terrorists and he'll separate your head from your shoulders.
Judges should be forced to declare their party before their names are put on the ballots. That way we'd know what we were voting for. Everybody knows what party the Supreme Court Justices are affiliated with so why not the lower courts as well?
