A fanatical member of the left-wing message board known as the Democratic Underground. Usually (though not necessarily) a loyal backer of the ideas and philosophies behind the candidacies of Dennis Kucinich, Howard Dean, or Wesley Clark, DUers typically focus their energies whining on the Internet about the war in Iraq or about the erosion of civil rights created by the Bush administration. They are all united in backing John Kerry, since Nader backers are usually purged, and although many would rather see Kucinich/Dean/Clark in Kerry's position right now, they are united in their antipathy against the Republican Party in general and George W. Bush in particular.
