This is not a hard decision for the courts or the governor. Tookie has been tried and convicted of his crimes. He threatened to kill the jurors, planned an escape from prison that involved killing guards and one of his "friends" who testified against him. He shows no remorse and accepts no responsibility for his actions.
There is nothing that happened in the commission of the crimes or since that time to show Tookie is worthy of clemency.

Well I mean short of curing cancer ( from a cell with nothing in it) nothing he does could ever make up for four murders.

Next, in the not too distant future, there will probably be a "Tookie Day" on the same line as MLK Day and the other fake holiday, Rosa Parks Day.
