To: Galveston Grl

I had a grandmother, whom, at the end of her life, used to criticize (loudly) people for being fat.

I just thought it was low class. I had no idea it was because they lose the "screen" between their thoughts and their mouths (as you put it.).

Tell the truth: when you see a really fat person, don't you think...you would never say it because you would not want to hurt the persons' feelings. Well your your grandma, she used to just think - then it came blurting out.

The moral of the story: Clean up your stuff now before you lose the ability to analyze/screen it from public consumption. When you are really old, the ugliness and mean spiritedness or the beauty and innocence will come spilling out. : ) One of my grandmothers did blurting beauty and the other... She blurted ni**er once in her last visit to a resturant with the family. It was not like her at all - she was a liberal.
