when someone puts out a post like "TROP", what the hell ELSE could they be referring too?
I get tired of this site sometimes. Instead of using logic and reason (which Conservatives are known for) some on this site are trying to OUT KNEE JERK the DUmmies and the liberals. It hasn't been the same here since the Schiavo tragedy and I am getting the feeling VERY quickly it never will be again.

Mike, why are you trying to hang your hat on a "distinction without difference?" Why is it so hard to admit the Freepers on this thread, almost universally, have comported themselves as experienced and discerning consumers of news, neither over reacting, nor playing the ostrich.
Sure we've made some jokes, but aside from only one poster I can think of, I'm quite proud of how we've comported ourselves.
We FReepers are very good at news analysis. We have a good record, and a proud tradition. And one of the keys to that success has been policing our own, because unlike the liberals, we are smart, flexible, and as Ann Coulter has said "able to take a punch." We are suppose to fight over error, not ego.
