Ever wonder how many people in the second tower could have been saved, if not for a false sense of security derived from being told that this was just an isolated incident?

That's hard to put a number to. If it had saved only one life, it would have been worth it to not tell such a blatant lie. But of course we all know that lie contributed to many many deaths. Yes, I've often wondered how many.

It haunts me, if I let myself dwell on it. That's why I detest hearing an automatic dismissal of terrorism, when there cannot possibly have been time to make such a determination.
