when someone puts out a post like "TROP", what the hell ELSE could they be referring too?
I get tired of this site sometimes. Instead of using logic and reason (which Conservatives are known for) some on this site are trying to OUT KNEE JERK the DUmmies and the liberals. It hasn't been the same here since the Schiavo tragedy and I am getting the feeling VERY quickly it never will be again.
In case you hadn't noticed yet, pt likes to accuse others of saying things they haven't, while denying his/her own statements. Don't let it get under your skin. I went around in circles with him/her for several posts before catching on that it's just a game for a lonely pathetic lump.
You were bothered by those claiming this has to be terrorism. I was bothered by those claiming it can't be, because those were the posts I read. I'm in agreement with you. I think it should be investigated first. I don't see why that scares some people.
Your initial complaint, which I responded to, was NOT for "refering."
Mike, why are you trying to hang your hat on a "distinction without difference?" Why is it so hard to admit the Freepers on this thread, almost universally, have comported themselves as experienced and discerning consumers of news, neither over reacting, nor playing the ostrich.
Sure we've made some jokes, but aside from only one poster I can think of, I'm quite proud of how we've comported ourselves.
We FReepers are very good at news analysis. We have a good record, and a proud tradition. And one of the keys to that success has been policing our own, because unlike the liberals, we are smart, flexible, and as Ann Coulter has said "able to take a punch." We are suppose to fight over error, not ego.

We will let others decide what this thread was about. Personally, I have found that there are people on this forum that NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS OR THE EVIDENCE DISPLAYED thereafter, will say EVERY time that it's terrorism.

Yeah, but don't you ever get tired of the spin that various authorities put on disasters, right from the start? Why can't they conduct an investigation before they announce the outcome? I realize today's media is pushing for answers from the start, but can't they just say "We'll let you know after we've investigated?"

The real terror is the oldtimers who understood the danger of downsizing safety are dying & retiring.

I happen to be in agreement with him, this time. Face it, you're histerically running around accusing others of your own indiscretions. I think there should be an investigation before anyone announces the cause. I don't know why that scares you.
Btw, since it seems to have gone over your head, a trustworthy investigation does not begin with any predetermined conclusions. There is no contradiction in wanting the investigation to come before the final report.

If all you think is "there should be an investigation before anyone announces the cause," (as if anyone has announced a cause) then what was all that gas you passed last night about announcements so far *proving* they were going to try to cover it up?

That automatic dismissal shows that if there is any possible way of covering it up, they will try. Come to think of it, they've already tried. What are the odds that they will do an about face, and try to disprove their initial ruling?

That was in reference to another post, specifically about the immediate dismissal of possible terrorism on 9-11, and the repeat immediately following this disaster, with the attempt to dismiss reports of eyewitness accounts before it could be determined whether or not they were relevent and accurate. If that doesn't make you question the integrity of the investigation, you're a sheeple.
