Imagine being A fly on the wall hearing Senate Majority Leader Joe Bruno telling Jeanine Pirro that she can't beat Hillary Clinton, seeing her camera-ready profile melt into a curt smile. Or a bug on the windshield last week as Pirro drove to a quiet power breakfast with outgoing Governor George Pataki, who endorsed her just two months earlier.
"Right now, I am a candidate for United State Senate," Pirro declared after the meeting, with all the confidence of someone asking to be drafted into another race. (PirroforAg.com directs visitors to her Senate campaign website. Hmm.) In a pink suit jacket and knee-high skirt, facing a gaggle of well-bundled reporters on a midtown street, Jeanine even looked like someone who needed shelter from the storm...
I read it a couple days ago. The republicans are imploding in this frikin state!

Everyone knows about Weld and Golisano, and to a lesser extent, Manning and Faso.
Who's the fifth GOP candidate?
We all need to get together and go after these inbred politicans. The primary! Take them out in the primary....
We need to find a candidate in every district to run a primary every assemblyman and senator in this state.
Anyone want to help do this with us? We had a meeting today with 20 of us from different counties and that is our plan. We will need help from as many as possible.
Randy Daniels.
Good luck (sincerely)
As a Bostonian I am completely lost as to the New York race. I saw Pirro in the paper the other day and now am wondering who will push her aside. Who is the front-runner to take on HRC, in the views of New York FReepers?
The New York Post mentioned his name in an editorial a few weeks ago.
Another thing that is extremely aggravating is how that paper has not only gone into the tank for Hillary, which considering Murdoch's business interests isn't so surprising, but has taken it upon itself to belittle any potential challengers to her.
I'm amazed that someone with Podhoretz's reputation would continue to work for that publication.
I grabbed this from my website..
The four contenders are upstate Assemblyman Patrick Manning, former upstate Assemblyman John Faso and former Secretary of State Randy Daniels.
The possible is upstate businessman Tom Golisano, who ran three times against Pataki as an independent and has now switched registrations.
Help if you can, Please.. are you in NY?
I keep on saying it.

John Spencer for NY Senate.
Former Yonkers Mayor John Spencer.
I was born and raised in Mass and now I live in Buffalo.
I have no idea what the hell they are doing here, they want Pirro to run for AG and I think they are going to try to force Golisano to run against hitlery..
He wants the gov seat not the senate. Bruno needs to sit down and shut up.
that's good to know..
Is the Post truly trying to outdo the Slimes in being a propaganda sheet for the 'Rats ? How sad...
If he had the imprimatur of acceptance from a major party he might actually be able to do some serious damage during a general election.
Spitzer-once you get beyond the hype-does not have any inherent advantage over a Republican opponent other than his party registration.
If Golisano can convince voters that he'll keep the promises that Pataki betrayed, especially in imposing fiscal sanity on this state, then I think we've made at least some headway, regardless of whether or not he wins the gubernatorial race.
I feel very confident in saying he will primary weld.
I thought this was a thread on the kissin' cowboys.
It's amazing that the papers are ignoring the fact that Spitzer faces a rather potentially strong challenge from Thomas Suozzi. While it's unlikely Spitzer will get beaten, he could be crippled greatly before the general. If only we could actually GET a decent candidate for our side. At the moment, I'm leaning to Randy Daniels. If they try to sneak the equivalent of political AIDS, William Weld, into the nomination, I'll personally endorse Spitzer.
