As the tumultous year 2005 winds down, today seemed like a good day for some pre-Christmas cheer and fun. There are no new photos of the President and First Lady taken today, but there are some great seasonal photos on the White House website.

Running out to play in the snow, Barney and Beezie leave a trail of footprints in the Rose Garden, Friday, Dec. 9, 2005.

GWB walks walks along the colonnade in the snowy Rose Garden yesterday.

Visitors wave as President Bush takes off in Marine One from a snow-covered South Lawn yesterday.

Photos from the "Making of Barney Cam" essay. Thanks, snugs, for calling my attention to this really nice photo essay.
Barney and Miss Beazley prepare for their close up during the making this year's Barney Cam in the Red Room.

Barney walks past the White House Christmas Tree, which is decorated with fresh lillies in the Blue Room.

Thank you MamaB! I am hoping for a White Christmas here in the Sierra's. Feels cold enough already to snow!

Barney poses for the camera in the Red Room.

Barney (right, looking bored) and Miss Beazley on the red carpet. This is Beezie's first Christmas in the White House and, like many a human youngster, she's all wide-eyed and amazed.

President Bush discusses the true meaning of Christmas with Barney and Miss Beazley in the Oval Office. (It's cute and funny how the two dogs are listening to him so intently.)

The First Lady with Barney (left) and Beezie.
