So would you mind if condoms and cigarrettes were available too? The kids can still bring soda from home, you know. So is your kid so disobedient he/she won't do what you tell them to and NOT buy soda at school? It is a free choice and not anyone's business. For you to compare sodas to condoms and cigarettes is just too funny. I can't believe how some people buy into the "we have the right to tell you what to do" chants of the liberals.

Look, I don't care if adults want to consume sodas while simultaneously smoking, eating fried chicken and having sex.
But to put that crap in middle schools is reprehensible. Caffeine is a drug just like nicotine. It is addictive and leads to behavior problems. High sugar diets are positively correlated to diabetes and obesity.
As for comparing cigarettes and condoms to soda, I take them for what they are (chemicals that affect the brain and behavior), not what form or wrapper they come in.
