Libs will eat their own faster than anyone. Frustration is mounting. If they lose ground in '06, count on it increasing. That's my guess.
When one of the Democrat's most prominent national figures is booed at a party event and when the party's national chairman is openly criticized by party members who hold national office, it's just healthy debate.
If any Republican anywhere fails to enthusiastically back the President on any minor point, it is hard evidence that the GOP is crumbling into pieces.
Got it?
I think some radio people have picked up on this. As the radical libs continue to move to the left, those politicians in the democrat party that need the votes of moderate constituents will rebel. You see it happening.
Whats wacky is the last public Lib vs Lib event that made news was the DIM convention in Chicago (Mayor Daly). That was LONG ago.
The exhaulted Hillary getting shouted at really made an impression.
she is setting it up to make her look more moderate
I say it's all Sister Souljah all over again - hitlery gets to run to the right by saying look at how the lefties boo me - then she gets into office and opens up the reeducation camps and puts party officials into all levels of govt.
She's been carefully staking out this moderate ground for a very, very long time now. All her "homeland security" stuff, her voting for the war, and on and on and on. I don't trust her any farther than I could throw the offensive line of the Indianopolis Colts.
In other words - be afraid, be very afraid.
The Libs HAVE no principles except get and maintain political power. Any effort at coherent, consensual policy is doomed because the blowhard, self-involved, headline grabbers will immediately attempt to one-up it.
Any moderation will be snuffed out quickly of course, the media will see to that by giving the most leftist flavor anyway.
Incorrect, a LOT of the radio talk show hosts have picked up on this. The Rat's have just realized that allowing the looney, moonbat left to steer the party ideaology has driven them over the edge of the cliff. If not over the edge, they have two wheels hanging off.
They have two choices, alienate the moonbats and lose a large portion of their base to the Democrat Socialists or Communist Party of America or the Greens or any number of extremist parties. Or embrace the moonbats fully and slide on over the edge and alienate Middle America that makes up the rest of the party.
The problem with both scenarios is that they no longer have the numbers to regain power. Since the no longer can get power, they will go with the money. And the money comes from the moonbats.
I understand the MSM semantics....its just when is the last time this occured in such public view? Libs are good at staying on general message.....other political parties must die.
Catch 22 in Lib-ville.....cool.
I realize you were being sarcastic, but public criticism is simply unherd of in the 'Rats.
I dunno, didn't seem like she expected the hit.....either that or she's a better actor than I give her credit for.
That protest was specific to Hubert Humphrey's nomination over Eugene McCarthy.
Its a giant Sista Soulja movement for the Democrats. Allow the leftwing of the party to look like it is self destructing, then have a moderate seeming "saviour" come in and save the day. Of course, I don't have to tell you HER name, do I?
Ha. Like we should talk.
During the Miers debacle,
Bush was called more names
here than at DU.
By and large the Left support
their leaders strongly.
NOW and femnazis
never turned on Bill Clinton.
As soon as the press
targets a Bush guy
(like Scooter Libby) AT ONCE
we'll see Freepers post
trollish attacks on
the guy that rival DU.
No, in this regard,
the Left shows more class
than current "conservative"
Ann Coulter groupies.
Interesting take on liberal logic, from CS Lewis post on another FR thread:
"If there were an invisible cat in that chair, the chair would look empty; but the chair does look empty; therefore there is an invisible cat in it."
