I disagree. What he said was, US troops were terrorizing women and children, and that there's nothing wrong with doing that, so long as Iraqi troops are doing it.
I could agree that Kerry would claim that U.S. troops are routinely terrorizing women and children as a matter of "Bush policy". He did it in Vietnam and he could/would do it in Iraq. If he had stopped at that point in his statement I would agree with your position. But he didn't, he went on to say that Iraqi's should be doing it. As stupid as John Kerry is, particularly on issues of national defense, he would not make a claim that terrorizing Iraqi civilians is OK if done by Iraqis. He just wouldn't say it.
So I'm pretty certain my interpretation of what he actually meant to say is accurate: American military personnel, just because they are Americans, frighten Iraqi women and children more than Iraqi soldiers would.
OTOH even with my interpretation of his "intent" the statement is ridiculous. These are people who have been terrorized by Iraqi's for decades and seeing an American at the front door in the middle of the night would be a lot less frightening to them then seeing an Iraqi who just might be there to take their son away to fight and certainly die for Zarqawi.
In any case I still think the issue is a good one because most people will agree with your position. The Dems deserve it and it makes Kerry and the rest of them look stupid. I'm looking for someway to help support putting the White Flag RNC ads on TeeeeVeeee.
