Al Arian is not out of the woods yet, there are still charges pending. Remember they got Al Capone on tax evasion and he died of syphillis during his prison sentence.

He was acquitted on eight of the charges, and on the other 9, the jury was hung, so he is still able to be prosecuted again, in a new trial, on those.

Today, we're just too busy with XBox 360 to notice--or give a damn.I don't think that's it. I think it has to do with strong friendships and pecuniary relationships between Americans in high places and the enemy.

The justice system in the US is broke. It is easy to blame everything on the prosecutors, judges, laws, etc. I say it is the jury pool. 50% of those chosen for jury duty are idiots. If they are smart and can think logically they will never make the final cut. Most jurors today are seated based on how they emote not how they think.
