Donald Rumsfeld was asked by Jim Lehrer on the News Hour on PBS just now if his low poll numbers bothered him. This was after one tiresome question after another about how the polls prove Americans hate Bush, the war in Iraq and everything else Republican-related. Rumsfeld came up with the best, in-your-face reply: "If you look where the news media is, it's down very low in the polls. If you want to get into public opinion polls, people in that business are right down near the bottom. You know that. Does it bother you?" Lehrer looked embarrassed and could only respond "I ask the questions here."
That's why I love Rumsfeld! He's not afraid to stuff it right back in the hideous faces of the media pukes unlike the rest of the administration that just plays so prissy and fearful with the leftist media.
Wow...me likey. Rumsfeld is a classic.
Kick some leftist MSM tush Rummy good job
Rummy is a treasure! Just love the guy!
Jim Lehrer = Bill Clinton's bitch.
According to the leftwing media's polls, Gore beat Bush in 2000, and Kerry beat Bush in 2004. And that's based on EXIT POLLS, the most "accurate" polls they have.
I watched the news hour with a bit of entertainment. Jim just could not nail him on anything. Rummy was quite good. The word is dripping out. You know the L/MSM must be very worried when they start asking the questions Leher asked.
LOL - OUTSTANDING - LOVE THAT MAN!
Oh, my. That's pretty much a straight-up verbal b****-slap.
Go, Rumsfeld!
If the MSM polls were anywhere near accurate, the Dem's wouldn't be doing the Michael Jackson moonwalk away from weird Howie.
Anyone confront by a poll dancing lib needs to call them
on it.
Polls are BS.
They are a creation of the legacy media, and loved by it,
because they can influence the numbers as they can
influence nothing else.
There is spin/agenda/bias in:
* deciding to run a poll
* picking the topic
* crafting the leading questions
* selecting the sample
* conducting the poll
* massaging the data
* spinning (er, reporting) the data
Jim got his shoe pissed on.
Rummy is absolutely right!!!! Let's take a poll as to whether the public trusts the biased liberal media (think Dan Rather here) more than the straight shooting GW administration...... Wow talk about some loaded words there, but then again most polls are loaded this way......
Good for Rummy. It's about time, that someone points out that the polls are lower, for the MSM and the congress, than for the president and the dems. in congress are at the bottom, of the barrel.....
I LOVE Rummy.
Way to go Secretary Rumsfeld!
I thought that was Dan Rather's position!
