A plane has apparently crashed through a fence at Midway airport in Chicago. Southwest airline 737 plane now sitting in intersection of 55th and Central. Channel 7 has confirmed, fire and ambulances on way. Details still sketchy.
I hope the pilot has his turn signals on.
Another Southwest plane rushing to the gate, like they always do.
We used to call it Skidway, crappy assed airport.
Prayers for the crew and passengers.

#3 wire please
I don't know what the temp. is in Chicago right now. I could definitely see an ice scenario: ice buildup on the wings so that they can't get airborne, too fast and too far down the runway for an RTO. Bad news, I hope everybody is OK.
>>>Ice on the runway?<<<
That, or brakes went out...
Well I checked FOX...Oreilly is interviewing Howard Stern. This is OBVIIOUSLY the real news.bwahahahahahahaa!
It is quite a trip taking off from Midway. I've been on planes at least twice that have aborted takeoffs and gone back to try again.
NAh. This will be in Fox News Alerts for the next 4 hours. I'd rather see the remaining 3 minutes of the stern interview now.
Your link says attempting to land. Sounds like they made it. Prayers for all aboard and in it's path.
I drove by there about an hour before the crash although I was on the Cicero side. The traffic light at 63rd was out. I'm surprised they're flying in this.
CLTV-Chicago is reporting that a car is trapped under the plane, which is "nose down".
Ahhh, Beautiful Burbank!!! Fill er up! ($1.55)
I hope everyone is okay.
I hope the pilot has his resume ready.
I doubt there were serious injuries or deaths on the plane; I think the question is whether anyone driving on the road the plane stopped on was hurt.
Latest news is at least one injury on ground, plane has been evacuated. Plane was landing and wasn't able to complete landing roll. Apparently about 9 inches of snow at Midway, visibility about 1/4 mile.
Man that's no good. Never saw that. Have seen many Southwest planes abort landing at Midway though.
Yeah, took my Mom to visit Grandpa today, he lives at 55th and Kedzie. Passed that intersection around 1:00 today.
