The US death penalty system needs an overhaul. Mumia shot and killed Mr. Faulker in 1981! It is almost 2006! There is no way it should take almost 25 years for a case to move its way through the system. Mumia should have been executed by now later than 1983!
No kidding! If the evidence is clear there is no need for 25 years of appeals. If any real question of guilt exist (they don't for Mumia or Tookie) then death shouldn't be the sentence in the first place.
We need a fast track death penalty: Perp walk to dirty nap in 12-24 months. That is more than enough time to review the case.
