So where's the DDT cheering section at FR?
See Post 10.
Crotch Cricket Alert ~ Bump!
They sound worse than DDT, too.
Hang from the ceiling or stand on the seat the crabs in here can jump three feet.
I'm a big DDT fan and think it should be used in Africa to help prevent the spread of mosquito born disease.
In a related story:
Hairy Hookers From PRC found to have crabs.
I don't think the long term poisoning of Africans and their children, as well as tainting their food supply is a good thing. I don't want DDT on my food and I'm sure you don't either. There are non-toxic alternatives.

Perhaps if these crabs would shave off their beards they would carry less DDT.
There is no DDT ban anywhere for use in fighting malaria.

Guess a fly-swatter comes to mind and mosquito netting.
I must admit the Eagles are back in numbers where I live and if that is a result of the DDT banning even though I am a rabid conservative I must say "Amen". Now flame my ass....
DDT is not toxic to humans and it can be used to save millions of lives. I have no fear of DDT.
As for food, I'm much more concerned about MCD than DDT. Heck you could sprinkle DDT on your cereal every morning would never suffer any adverse affects.
I was not aware that Malaria was a health threat in this country. We do have many old deseases coming back but it is not a result of the "DDT banning"......
diseases damn I wish we had spell check here
Please do not throw toothpicks in the bowl.
The Hairy Crabs can pole vault!
The DDT scare was the Alar of its day. A total sham.

Are you absolutely sure about that?
Niswander, KR and M Gordon. 1972. The women and their pregnancies: the Collaborative Perinatal Study of the National Institute of Neurological Diseases and Stroke. Washington, DC. US Govt Print Off, 1972.
Now I'm not saying DDT should be banned but it needs to be used in moderation. The ban for use on agriculture has saved lives as it has delayed and impeded the DDT resistance in mosquitoes. Go ask Sri Lanka how effective DDT is these days.
You are absolutely correct. The banning of DDT was all based on junk science.
Ruining birds eggs and its bad effect on humans were disproved.

"The environmental movement used DDT as a means to increase their power. Charles Wurster, chief scientist for the Environmental Defense Fund, commented, "If the environmentalists win on DDT, they will achieve a level of authority they have never had before.. In a sense, much more is at stake than DDT."
