The notion of peace is not stupid, and it's arrival would be welcome openly and gladly by most.

Nobody prays for peace more than I do but generally those who use the peace symbol are leftist. Touting the symbol for defeat actually causes greater danger for my loved ones.

I don't know what the rationale of this particular homeowner was in using a symbol for peace in his display.

How many Christmas cards will you receive this year that say something along the lines of Peace on Earth and Goodwill Towards Men?

Will you conclude, based on that sentiment alone, that the sender of that wish is for "defeat"?

I would trust not.
