I'm sure the fact that, two years after the world war 2 ended in Europe, there was still an insurgency (and no sovereign government in Germany) would have brought howls of protest from the current Democratic Party. Howard Dean and the Democratic Party is ideally placed to become assistant defense counsels to Ramsey Clark.
After all, didn't Dean say that Osama bin Laden had to have a fair trial?
