"Library officials accepted the announcement but told Chambless that she would have to remove the "inappropriate" figures of the baby Jesus, Joseph, Mary, and the wise men from an accompanying nativity scene and limit it to farm animals alone."

This would be hysterically funny if it wasn't true.

"Memphis?"

There are anti-Christians everywhere.

Thank goodness we have the ADF to combat the Anti-Christian Legal Union or better known as the A.C.L.U.

The article says, "Libraries are supposed to encourage free expression and thought."

Yes, they are supposed to, and most people think they do, but they do not. For just one example (does anyone want to name other examples?), try publishing a select grouping of quotations by de facto ALA leader Judith Krug, quotations that she actually made and that were published but that show how radical and extreme she and the ALA are, and those quotations will be repeatedly censored by the ALA censorship police themselves and their acolytes. For proof, see Safe Libraries - ALA's Double Standard on Censorship.
