Yep, the DUmbasses are already asking why he wasn't shot in the legs, arms, etc and crying that he was an innocent victim with mental illness- almost making the air marshall the criminal. There are a couple over there that are reasonable, but most are complete dolts.

Oh, the ACLU is drooling over that right now. Well .. then they'll bankrupt the airlines to the point that even the Feds can't bail them out
Then no planes will fly

Gardner also said other passengers said they heard the lady say that her husband was bipolar and had not taken his medication.
Well, any possible lead definciency has now been taken care of.

Do he and that old guy still slurp each other at the end of the alleged "show", with the dinky-dink piano music in the background?
Man, that kind of stuff gets old fast. Clyde talking to Roe Conn on WLS after a few belts is much better.

Maybe he wanted them to wait and "deal with this poor man," check him out and let a guy possibly blow up the plane at the gate.
Imagine how upset he'd be about THAT!

MIAMI, Florida (CNN) -- Federal air marshals shot and killed a man on a boarding bridge at Miami International Airport after he said he had a bomb, two sources familiar with the incident told CNN.
Flight 924 was in Miami on a stopover during a flight from Medellin, Colombia, to Orlando, Florida, when the man said there was a bomb in his carry-on luggage, a Department of Homeland Security official said.
He was confronted by a team of federal air marshals, who pursued the man down the boarding bridge and ordered him to get on the ground, the official said.
When the man appeared to reach into his baggage, at least one shot was fired by the marshals, wounding the man, the official said, adding that marshals' actions were consistent with their training.
Upon investigation, there was no evidence that the man had a bomb, an official said.
This is the first time an air marshal has fired a weapon on or near an airplane, a federal official said.

For those pf you wondering, air marshals use Sig Sauer P-229 handguns in 357 Sig caliber.
To: neodad
Totally agree.
On a different but related topic, if you start executing one death row inmate a day in all 50 states you should clear the row in a year. The U.S. could then put an 'Open for Business' sign in its prisons. That would slow the violent crime, I'd bet.

Well, it sounds like that's pretty much the case. However, it doesn't mean that the air marshal did anything wrong, or that air marshals' policies should be changed. It means that people who are mentally unstable without their meds need to be sure to take their meds, and certainly if they are travelling with a sane relative and the relative knows they're off their meds, the relative has a responsibility to keep them off the plane (by notifying authorities if necessary).

Very appropriate handle you have there. Did I hurt your feelings by insulting the government? Oh, the horror!
Yes, I see you have shown me your intellectual and moral superiority by personally attacking me for an opinion that you disagree with.

Well .. don't threaten to blow up a plane and then reach in your bag after being told to stay still and there won't be a problem
I may sound cold .. but you don't play games like this
I don't feel sorry for the guy
