Thanks, FD, for this righteous article.
Burt Prelutsky is one of the top 10 greatest writers who happens to be Jewish on the planet.
God bless him.
Thanks for the ping!
Thanks for the alert. You know you get so busy you forget to thank friends for gifts. I read this article first thing and forgot to thank FD. A belated thank you for the article.
But, I'm afraid I'm not one of those on the "They're Stealing My Christmas Underpants" bandwagon (relax, it's a South Park reference).
While I celebrate Christmas to the max (taking this year off from the National Lampoon light display 'cause I just need a break), and while my family and I are in the midst of a 19 performance run of our church Christmas producation, and while we'll be at communion on Christmas Eve and services on both Christmas Day AND New Year's, this really doesn't bother me.
Nothing of how the secular world treats Christ or Christmas has anything to do with who Christ is or what He did for us (and continues to do).
Christians in other countries are dying for their faith. If the worst I have to endure is "Happy Holidays" instead of "Merry Christmas" then I am blessed indeed.
If I can't endure that level of "persecution" then may God have mercy on my soul if I'm ever faced with a real test.
Thank you for the ping. Merry Christmas, Doctor.
