Jesus DID say he came not to bring peace, but a sword.
I can understand the hostages attempts at trying to convert the Muslim radicals...but these men are not going to convert. Men who are willing to cut off the heads of innocents to please the false god Allah are not going to convert. People who strap explosives to themselves and attempt to take as many people with them as possible are not going to convert. Plain and simple.
I guess that is why he healed the high priest's ear after Peter hacked it off, right?
The "sword" Jesus refers to is not a sword that draws bloodshed, but rather divides the sheep from the goats..those that will convert from love (Christianity) and those that will convert through violence (Islam).
He was there to support the enemy, I doubt he was trying to convert them to anything.
It is form of conversion. They get converted from a person into a mist of meat, hair, and bones.
Well, as Christ said "With men this is impossible, but all things are possible for God."
Don't forget that Princeton U. just quashed a speech and forum by ex-Muslim-terrorists who had converted to Christianity.
If they get beheaded after preaching the Gospel to Al Qaeda in Iraq, we should honor them as martyrs. If they get released or rescued and repent of their support for the enemies of civilization, we should welcome them home as brothers. If they get released or rescued and go on spouting the idiocies with which they embarked for Iraq, we should spit at them.
