... I've come to point where the older I get, the more tolerant I become of the cooperative process as a necessary component of governance....
I find the older I get, the more disgusted I get as we sink into the third world because of gutless bitches who won't adhere to their oaths of office.
No tolerance for thieves, traitors or idiots.
Tell us how you really feel, gill.

Dittos on that. In years past, I went along with the LoTE theory, but I now realize that evil is just that - EVIL - and I will not do it anymore. Bush in 2004 was my last such vote. The only place that I agree with him is on the war in Iraq.
I agree with libertyman that our interventionism has led to problems. It may have been with the best of intentions, but we were entangled in places that we should not have been. You don't need to be isolated from the world, just not entangled in their affairs. Our Founders warned us of that 225 years ago. I guess that we got too smart for our own good.
Domestically, he has been atrocious for liberty loving people. I am 100% pro life, but there is more to being conservative than being pro life. The government is to guard the liberty of it's citizens, but Bush has been too willing to follow Clinton's dictum that we are too free and must be reigned in. As government grows, it seeks merely to serve and protect itself and not abide by their oath of office. That's inexcusable and makes them unworthy of my vote.
