Alright, I don't why I am still awake as I have to be up in a few hours to feed Owen.
What I am most frustrated at is that I pay money to keep this website up so all of you 'fans' can talk about our music. Why would I want to spend that money so the majority of you can sit around and b*tch about us?
I understand that you are frustrated that there's isn't any new music for you guys to listen to. We finished this record over a year ago and sent on a lame ass tour we didn't want to be on.
It was a horrible idea to headline a show playing music that no one had ever heard. Maverick wanted to make a quick buck and unfortunately were were obligated by contract to do so.
Then I got pushed into a Santana song that I didn't want to do. The record wasn't released because Maverick didnt wan't me promoting an album pregnant.
As far as biting the hand that feeds you: I would give nothing more than to play music in a sh*tty bar and fold clothes at the Gap for a living.
I'm fine financially and being a famous musician has brought nothing into my life except strife. This isn't fun for me anymore. I'm sick of getting my music heard, putting on a fake smile, and saying things that are acceptable.
I never wanted to be put on a pedestal, I just wanted to make music. It's too much energy to to pretend it's fun.
You can call me a baby if you like, but life is too short to spend it being miserable. You know, I CAN take criticism, I just don't know why I should be for an arena to let you do it.

Bummer, that. I really like Michelle's music, from what I have heard of it.
Michelle who? Never heard of her!
maxim eh?
hmmm...this requires further investigation.
I used to run a fast food restaurant, and hired a lot of kids.
I always HATED to hire the musician types. They never wanted to work weekends, because they were always working gigs, would call in sick a lot at the last moment, and I would hear later from the other kids who worked there they were seen playing music with other long hairs.
They were without a doubt, the most worthless workers in the labor force, because all they could think about was the fantasy that it would be any day now that some music producer was going to come in the door and steal them away to stardom.
Worthless
You will not be disappointed.
What a lame attidude to have. I didn't know being succesfull and having a good life was such a terrible thing.
I'm sure the Gap would be happy to have you.

to 'get your a$$ out my limo'.."

There would be no nannies if Michelle was working at the Gap. She'd make it about a week...
She sounds really hormonal here.......hope she doesn't pull a Kurt Cobain!
I think the issue is that she had more control over her earlier albums, but not now. So, she was happy before, but not now.
Wow. What a bitch. Who would have thunk it.
Not a good career move in general to tell your fans to f-off.
Clearly she was edoocatid in a public school.
Yea, I know. Can someone bring us up to speed on this!
Contract or no, it really isn't cool that her label forced her to do a full tour pregnant, and then delayed her album because they didn't want to market a pregnant lady.
The real problem with Branch is that her entire career was built around her image as a down to earth teenager who just happened to be a fairly good musician (and yes, she is better than 90% of the noise they market to teens nowadays). Her life, however, has moved on...she's now married, in her twenties, and expecting a kid. Her reality no longer matches her image, and her label isn't happy about that.
She either needs to pull a Madonna and reinvent herself, or get out of music entirely. There's just no way to pull of the teen image when you're a married twentysomething mother, and I'm not sure she's entirely grasped that yet.
I'll bet she thinks she has a good sense of humor, too.
Gee, a record company abadoning an artist after they've suited their purpose? I'm shocked...just shocked.
Looks like the Santana records aren't selling anymore and Michelle is going bye-bye.
