They do not seem to have the belief that taking something which does not belong to them is also a sin.

They can. There are plenty of banks loaning money to Muslims. They get around the prohibition using semantics and technicalities. They can use the same three-way contract that Christians used to use to get around their prohibition on interest, or, for example, a bank can do a mortgage by buying a house for a price and selling it to the person for more, allowing him to pay them back in installments, the interest built into the resale price.
