Good summary. Also, as I've stated before, Gaza style removal of such a large number of people is completely and totally off the table, under any and all circumstances.
The Republican party originally had large numbers of black voters, but policy as well as sociological changes over the years alienated that constituency.
The party won't sell out its future with a rising majority.
