I guess I should be pleased that I never heard of Ms Cho.
Ms. Cho is the least funny comedian out there. She makes her money by being a liberal, whiney, angry, fruit cake.
Even before I cared about the political alignment of a comedian's humor, she was not funny. Too vulgar with absolutely no character.
Margret Cho, just another loud obnoxious Liberal oppoinated lesbian who thinks insult and slams are fun enough to do on stage. Someone who has had a TV show and many other goodies that still keep her bitter.
Thanks, I enjoyed reading that. I liked the author's comparisons of the vulgar humor of Cho to Klein, a man I find to be incredibly funny.
You can still see Tim Conway on Carol Burnett reruns. ~;^D
Great post, althought my goodness what a big Robert Klein fan. I would like to hear that little rascals routine, I must say. I still fondly remember his "every record ever made..we bring the truck to your house! Lithuanian language records....."
Richard Pryor truly was a genius, always absolutely brilliant.
Early in his career, Lenny Bruce was funny. Unfortunately, it's the latter, bitter, unfunny part of his schtick that has been coopted by modern comedians..
Liberals think that pathetic and crude people are funny. I guess that makes them feel superior.
Many thanks for the post -- great reading, and like many on this thread, I'm a big Klein fan. Might have to get HBO for a month or so to catch the special! :-) He's right on about George Carlin, too. When he's not lapsing into unfunny political screeds, Carlin's still one of the most hilarious guys out there.
Unless she's lost some weight, she looks like 10 pounds of dog squeeze in 5 pound bag.
The passing reference to Maureen Dowd is sufficient justification to trigger mandatory application of the Dowd Rule.
But, let's be frank... Almost anything is sufficient justification to trigger mandatory application of the Dowd Rule.
