Pretty cool article on some Jewish Folks who are sticking up for Christmas

They have been so wonderful to us. They can defend us better than we can ourselves, so I really appreciate what they are doing. May we be there for them when they need us.

So it wasn't just me...
Doesn't a double negative make a positive, or something like that? ???

Nice, but the tide is already turning against this anti-Christmas bullshit anyway. Christians have had enough. You don't like Christmas? Piss off!
Oh, and have a Merry Christmas!
To: RepublicNewbie
Jackie Mason fan here, but I'm a little confused on the name of his group.

I had a chance to listen to Jackie Mason's talk show on WABC just once. I really wan't expecting much; I thought he was sort of a shlocky Henny Youngman type over-the-hill Borscht-Belt comedian.
But you know what? He hooked me! He's very quick on his feet, very knowledgable and very clever.
I remember one caller in particular, who was a conservative Jew, and who was criticizing Jackie Mason for not being energetic enough as a booster of Israel. The caller based part of his argument on his understanding of the Talmud.
Mr. Mason refused to be drawn in on this point. He answered the caller's other points one by one, and when he came to the Talmudic part he said something like this: "As far as the religious argument goes, there's nothing I can say to you. Your position is based on faith, and faith cannot be argued. No argument based on faith can be supported or refuted by any information we have available to us, so G-d bless you and I respect you for your position, but it doesn't make any sense for me to discuss it with you."

Was Jackie Mason ever on the Ed Sullivan show? I seem to remember some wonderful Jewish comics from those old days, incl. Molly Picon.

Like he said the other day, do you get offended when I say Happy Hanukkah?
To: The Ghost of FReepers Past
They have been so wonderful to us. They can defend us better than we can ourselves, so I really appreciate what they are doing. Amen.
Merry Christmas and Happy Chanukah!
I can't muster a holiday greeting for muslims.
