A quote from Sir Winston might be in order to put the Dim's whining in perspective. Churchill, in The Gathering Storm, writes about the mood of the people and their leaders in pre-war England. He says they "appear to cower from the menace of foreign peril, frothing pious platitudes while foemen forge their arms." LOVE the word "FOEMEN!"

Then Churchill talks about the students at Oxford Union who in 1933 passed the Joad resolution stating that their House "will in no circumstances fight for its [their country's] King and Country." Of this resolution, which Churchill calls "shameful", he writes:

"It was easy to laugh off such an episode in England, but in Germany, in Russia, in Italy, in Japan, the idea of a decadent, degenerate Britain took deep root and swayed many calculations. Little did the foolish boys who passed the resolution dream that they were destined quite soon to conquer or fall gloriously in the ensuing war...."

Later, Churchill points out a truth we must never forget: "The fact that the nerve of the British Government was not equal to the occasion can be excused only by their sincere desire for peace. Actually, it played a part in leading to an infinitely MORE TERRIBLE WAR." Emphasis mine!!

The left, like Jane Fonda (her father played the role of head of the Joad family in The Grapes of Wrath--interesting Steinbeck chose that name!) may claim a "genuine love" for peace--but Kerry is no geunine lover of ANYTHING but himself. And ALL of them are dangerous--because there can NEVER be PEACE in appeasement!
