The proposed law would also order matchmaking agencies to teach brides (referred to as ``foreign recruits'' in the bill) how to call police, find domestic violence shelters and file restraining orders. -----Just throwing this out there, while I am sure to get flamed, but why don't these women stay in their own country and not come over here if they cannot even pick up a damn phone and call for help? Why are special laws being made for people coming into the country who are NOT even Americans and do NOT even take the time to learn the English language? Better yet, how friggin hard is it to learn 911? Is this still America? Are Our Men Fighting In Iraq To protect America? We need to take back our country.

One of the problems is that in their home countries, abuse is more accepted as a part of life than here. These women honestly don't know that they can get help and also worry about being deported by their new husbands if they do report them. They need to be informed that they can stay here on a special visa for victims of domestic abuse if that happens.
