Making Sure No Good Deed Goes Unpunished
Strategy Page ^ | December 2, 2005

Islamic radicals, and their supporters in the media, are waiting for an opportunity to avoid a PR disaster in earthquake ravaged northern Pakistan. Over three million people were made homeless by the disaster, and over 100,000 were seriously injured. Nearly 80,000 died. For Islamic radicals, the real nightmare began after the quakes, when they not only found many of their terrorist training camps wrecked, but the area was flooded with infidel (non-Moslem) relief workers. At first, the Islamic radicals tried to cajole, then threaten locals to refuse help from the infidels. But the locals were desperate, and the infidels had much more assistance available than the more acceptable (to the armed and increasingly dismayed, Islamic radicals) Islamic charities.

This is all a replay of what happened earlier in 2005, when the earthquake off Indonesia, and tidal waves generated by it, killed over 100,000 people in western Indonesia’s Aceh province. This was a place long noted for Islamic conservatism. But most of the aid that showed up was from infidels. Even the U.S. Navy soon arrived, with supplies and huge helicopters. The Islamic radicals in Aceh took a beating in the PR department. Years of painting foreign infidels as devils, gone in a few weeks.

But in Pakistan, the Islamic radicals see some hope in the coming Winter. Aceh was in the tropics, northern Pakistan is in the highest mountains in the world, with brutal Winters. The homeless are in danger of dying in large numbers from cold, hunger and disease. With a little cooperation from the media, this disaster can be blamed on the Western relief effort. One can get away with insisting that if the Western relief organizations had “done more,” then people in northern Pakistan would not be dying in large numbers from the cold weather. This is the kind of story that media will jump on after a disaster anywhere, so there’s no reason why it won’t work in northern Pakistan. In the Moslem media, an additional, religious, angle will be used, accusing the Western countries of intentionally screwing up the relief effort in order to kill Moslems. Naturally, some of the Western media will try to counter this, pointing out the large number of Western relief workers in the area and the extent of their relief operations. The Pakistani government will be under much pressure to agree with the Moslem media, even though the senior people know full well the extent of the Western relief operations and realize that without it, many more Pakistanis would have died. In Pakistan itself, the media spends most of its time bashing the Pakistani government for not doing enough, but the international Moslem media will play that down, so as not to make all Moslem governments look bad.

The Islamic radicals will be making a maximum effort to turn around their fortunes. However, in northern Pakistan, the people will know the truth, that the Western relief efforts are saving lives. But some people can be found, that journalists got to, but relief efforts did not, who will provide eyewitness reports of the crimes being committed by the false Western relief efforts in northern Pakistan, and the damage being done to desperate Moslem victims of the earthquake. The local Islamic radicals will embrace this version of events, and insist that “all good Moslems” do so as well. If this works, it will be an other example of “no good deed goes unpunished”, and the reasons why.

Whereas the MSM will be going right along with it.

The MSM are too aroused by the efforts of the military to ensure favorable coverage in Iraqi outlets to notice ...

I don't know; they could probably segue into it through an anti-Christmas story. You know how they usually run those "omg there are so many HOMELESS PEOPLE" stories right around Christmas during Republican administrations? Well, they give the domestic homeless a rest this year and focus on Pakistani homeless to help fuel the jihad.

Making yourself look good by lying is as old as the hills. It is propaganda in its purest form. And the extremist have the advantage since they can make up anything and it will be put in the media over there and be believed.

Remember when Jesus walked the earth he healed many through miracles. And how was repayed, they nailed him to a cross. When ever something good is done by the Americans it will be downplayed and as is with the Democrats, the aid will always be never enough or quite good enough.

Bingo! Probably will be reported as such in The Onion!
The MSM is so predictable. Not to mention self-righteous and anti-American.

Thanks for the heads-up.

That's because the islamic charities' principal purpose is not to help victims of natural disasters, their primary job is to funnel money to al-Qaeda and other international terrorist organizations.

The remnants of the Taliban and the al-Qaeda that hide among them could simply capture and behead a few of these non-Muslim relief workers, that will drive them out of the country, and reduce the immediate threat. So another 50,000 or so Muslim souls perish, it would still be all for the good of Allah, doncha know. If they just hold out until spring, they can keep the presence of the US engaged in the border region long enough so the Dem'crat minority in the US political system can make inroads against the despised Bush administration, forcing the US to a standstill and the Bush administration unable to prevail against the rising public opinton, which in turn means a victory for the Dem'crat candidate in 2008. In a matter of months after that election, Iraq shall again be available for al-Qaeda training bases, and they can get out of these hostile, dangerous cold mountains.

About six months into the new Dem'crat administration, the Homeland Security will be sufficiently dismantled so that a simultaneous strike against the Golden Gate Bridge, the US Capitol, the Sears Tower in Chicago, and the Statue of Liberty would be successful.

I cannot understand why disaster victims just stay put. If winter is coming why don't they walk out of those mountains? I would.

Yeah, that ticks me off. I can't even watch the news this time of year. The news media has 3 primary stories:

1) IED blows up and kills a Marine, while neglecting to say anything about the hundred terrorists we've killed this week, the terror leaders that we have captured or killed by the baker's dozen, and good progress in Iraq toward the Dec. elections.

2) Shoppers at Wal-Mart and Target killing each other for cheap TVs, DVD players, and furbies.

3) The homeless people on the street freezing to death while you have the awful nerve to sit there drinking hot chocolate and enjoying the household that you've built from scratch for your family. You sicko, don't you feel awful about yourself? If it was you uncle or dad in the street, would you be sitting there on your plump ass in front of the fireplace watching A Christmas Story instead of heading down to the local shelter donating your time and money to crackheads? /news rant off

"this disaster can be blamed on the Western relief effort."

We can point fingers at the Useless Nations, they are supposed to be the ones in charge. Where is all the aid from oil rich Islamic nations? How come there aren't miles and miles of camel jokeys making their way into Pakistan with aid? The west can't do everything, or more specifically, the one nation, the USA can't do everything. Where are the Europeons?

Perhaps we should offer to send over Nagin and Blanco to oversee the Winter Relief operations?
