I thinks it's also very important that today's Gulf War vets demand the same accountability from the fedgov on the amounts of depleted uranium they've been subjected to while in Iraq during the first Gulf War and the current one. For more info do a keyword on "Doug Rokke" and read some of the interviews he's done regarding the almost unexplainable stupidity of allowing our troops to come in contact with DU without proper training and equipment.

I read in today's news that a young soldier from New Jersey came down with what is described as a mysterious rash in Iraq and he died on Thanksgiving day.

"Christensen died on Thanksgiving Day in a South Carolina hospital from a mysterious illness he contracted in Iraq.

He was deployed to Balad, Iraq, in mid-January with the 1st Battalion, 64th Armor Regiment of the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, headquartered in Fort Stewart, Ga.

Christensen spent most of his time in the relative safety of a military base while in Iraq. His deployment was uneventful until late October, when he developed a rash on his leg and a cyst in his throat.

He was flown from his base in Iraq to a Kuwaiti hospital to have the cyst removed, and was transferred several days later to a military hospital in Landstuhl, Germany, after his illness intensified.

Although Christensen seemed to be regaining his strength shortly after his transfer, by the end of that week he took a turn for the worse. The Army flew Christensen back to a military hospital in Georgia, from which he was transferred to the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.

For more info on DU and how it's devastating our soldiers and our families Doug Rokke was interviewed recently by John Stadtmiller of the National Intel Report. If you want to hear an interview that'll get your blood boiling check out by doing this: go to www.rbnlive.com / on the left menu go to "show archives" / go to National Intel Report - 2005 / go to Nov. 15 interview with Doug Rokke.
