International Law: Everyone has the right to an attorney. But as Ramsey Clark rushes to the side of Saddam Hussein, this may be a case where both the defendant and his counsel can plead insanity.
...
"Clark has been using and aiding mass murders and other American enemies for the last 30 years," conservative pundit David Horowitz said in 2003 of a Clark trip in Iraq. "He should give it a rest." But that is unlikely.
...
Clark has defended the who's who of mass murderers not just Milosevic, but also Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadzic, also accused of war crimes, as well as a Rwandan pastor accused of orchestrating the slaughter of thousands of Tutsis, al-Qaida terrorist Mohamed Al-Owhali and Nazi war criminals Karl Linner and Jack Riemer.
Al-Owhali, a student of Osama bin Laden, guided a truck packed with explosives into the U.S. Embassy in Nairobi, Kenya, in 1998. The bomb-laden truck killed 213 and maimed scores of others.
...
While 52 Americans were being held hostage in Iran by the government of Ayatollah Khomeini, Clark traveled to Tehran in 1980 to attend a conference called "The Crimes Of America."
He aided the Palestinian Liberation Organization of Yasser Arafat when its leaders were accused in the murder of Leon Klinghoffer, a wheelchair-bound Jewish American who was shot and pushed overboard in the 1986 hijacking of the Italian cruise ship Achille Lauro.
It would be bad enough if Clark were just providing legal counsel to this murderers row. But his main argument has not been that these despots are innocent but that the U.S. is guilty. He travels to countries like North Korea, Libya and Panama to denounce American policy using terms like "genocide" and war crimes."
Clark is not merely their attorney. He's their advocate.

The editor dares not say, but I'm going to say it. Ramsey Clark is a traitor.
Yeah, but Dick Clark is okay. And the Dave Clark Five. And Petula Clark. And Clark bars.
Rush Limbaugh predicted that Saddam Hussein would use the Democrat B.S. that Bush lied us into the war by distorting pre-war intel. This has now happened. Saddam has, per this article, officially adopted the Democrats' pre-meditated lies as his defense. He is using their transparent attempts to re-write history to write his ticket out of jail. Saddam and the Democrats are joined at the hip on the theory that Bush had no compelling reason to invade Iraq.
This is a HUGE development and a major, sickening and disgraceful story. Waiting for the press to figure it out...
Gee, wonder why not?
Considering that lawyers are being kidnapped and killed, I say let him go for it. It's his life.
Ooops, Jack Clark not 'Jack Clack'
Can we question his patriotism now?
I'm not sure that's a net plus for the Democratic Party. If there are any clear-thinking leaders in that party of desperation, I would imagine they are wishing Saddam would shut up and stop mouthing their talking points.
Heehee. Who was it who served up that meatball to him in the playoffs? And let's not forget Dwight Clark of the 49ers. Anybody remember the old 76ers/Lakers shooting guard Archie Clark?
Isnt he the same person who met with Khomeini in 1979 in Paris and Tehran?
His passport should be revoked.
And not just their talking points.
Somehow I doubt 43 is the prez who needs to worry about being embarrassed.
I think I just remembered the answer to my own question -- I think it was Tom Niedenfuer. I know it was a rather squat pitcher.
Dodgers Tom Nedenfuer (sp?).
This looks like another staged opportunity for criticizing the President.
The editor dares not say, but I'm going to say it. Ramsey Clark is a traitor.

Nothing new, but what are they NOW trying to hide or obscure?? More Clinton involvement and complicity??
Incredible. This guy must be out of his mind. Actually I think he's been brainwashed somewhere along the line. He seems to believe that his cause is righteous.
