The Chairman of the Majlis Energy Commission, Kamal Daneshyar said here, on Friday, that preparatory measures have been taken to sell oil in euros instead of dollar, adding that such a measure is quite positive and should be taken as soon as possible. Speaking to the Persian service of Iranian Students News Agency (ISNA), he went on to say that Iran should at the first phase sell its oil in both Dollar and Euro, and then gradually move toward Euro as the mere source.
As for the probable consequences of such a decision, Daneshyar said that when such a measure is taken, the United States would soon realize that it is not the one who can always inflict economic damages on the Islamic Republic and that Iran can also get even with it.
Daneshyar who also represents Mahshahr in the Majlis noted that prior to this the way was not paved for undertaking such a program, adding that fortunately the present government possesses the necessary management bravery to prepare the ground for taking such a measure.

The Arab and Persian world is attempting to switch the monetary unit that oil is traded in from Dollars to Euros.
This would potentially bring about a serious recession and maybe a depression in the U.S. economy due to the immediate internation devalueing of the dollar.
If the world buys oil in Dollars, our money is solvent and quite valuable. However, if the world switches to Euros, then the value of the dollar would plummet.

Once heard Milton Friedman say that if a low value currency was so good, then hyper inflationary nations would be export giants.
Also it's more of a geopolitical thing as much as it is a spiritual thing, when government, religion, society and morality are all the same. And their goal is to spread Islam over the world so that none other faith or government will be left standing. I don't see that goal going away either.

Total nonsense. The Arabs have been trying this for 18 months now, and the Euro has fallen from 1.3700 to 1.1750 in that time. Even if the Euro goes back up to 1.5000, that would be great for our exporters and wreck the European economy.
This is bad news for the USA, if it happens.

Remember during the early Clinton administration. They were so full of themselves - they thought they had ended the economic cycle, homelessness, international aggression. The world had 'matured' under bubba.
They were ruinous.
That's why the term islamofascism fits well. Islam as a whole is a political scam with a cobbled-up religious figleaf to hide its true nature. It really is not a religion at all, except to the great mass of credulous dupes it holds under its cynical sway.
