I remember Ed Whitcomb. A very handsome man, but not a very popular Governor. His career was largely over when he left the Governors mansion after one term (he was the last Governor who was term limited at one term). He tried to run for the Senate against Lugar in the primary when the latter first ran and did not come close. All in all I rather liked the man.
