Wal-Mart gives to the common man what all the Liberals think Government should but never will.

Wal-Mart offers a wide selection of quality goods at the lowest price. At the same time they give tens of thousands of employees a chance to earn good money, and have a career which offers them a chance to better themselves while providing for their families.

This isn't about Wal-Mart; it's about Capitalism vs. Socialism.

As someone pointed out up-thread, it's disgusting to see so many Freepers fall into the "I'd rather have Socialism" column.

I am glad to finally start seeing some freepers who make sense about Walmart. Too many people on this board don't have a clue about economics or how our free market system works, and it shows when they bash Walmart, China, etc. Walmart is the best thing that has happened to America ever IMO--it has set a free market business model that has made everyone's standard of living much higher than it would have been without Walmart. This business model has made other retailers lower prices and become more efficient as well, which just raises our standard of living.

Absolutely. Perhaps many of these freepers are socialists. I would guess this from other articles posted. I just hope that some will learn the truth about the fascist left while at conservative web sites, even while posing as conservatives.

Isn't WalMart non-union? That would be reason enough to set the libs off.

Addressing the candy lady who works at Wal-mart, my brother in law started working at Walmart stocking shelves, he worked his way up to distrct manager making a six figure salary with stocks. The difference this was a choice for his career. For some they just want to work collect a check and go home and take care of the family. I was one who worked a Walmart just wanted my check so I could help out my family, but raising my children was my career. Two different goals. Maybe the candy lady might want to work towards a career at Walmart because I know those who have and they make a very good living. For me where I worked they got to much in your face personally. When it comes down to it we can find fault with just about any company. For me Target gives too much money to the abortion people. There are plenty of places to shop and spend hard earn money.
