Walmart saves the average family over $2,300 per year. That can pay the entire cost of heating a home, it can pay for gas and car payments for a reasonably priced car, it covers an entire years tuition at a Catholic grade school. These ARE economic developement tools, dontcha think?
Are those statistics provided by Wal Mart? Or some independant agency?
Wal Mart saves me very little because....
A. I rarely shop there.
B. When I do shop there the lines are always backed up at the checkouts so
C. Time is money and for the few pennies I may save, I lose waiting in line or looking for parking.
