Socialists want more power to employees (Norway)

The Socialist Left Party wants to wrest more power from company owners and give employees 40 percent of the votes at corporate annual meetings.

The Socialist Left (SV) Party continues to make headlines with their relatively radical profile as part of the governing left-center coalition with partners the Labor and Center parties.

"SV is a socialist party. We believe that more power to the working people is good for companies and employees," SV's parliamentary leader Inge Ryan told NRK (Norwegian Broadcasting).

The party will therefore propose to parliament that the existing Companies Act be changed so that a greater transfer of power from shareholders to employees can be carried out.

Stock exchange director Sven Arild Andersen said that the proposal is stupid and unrealistic and predicts an investor stampede out of Norwegian companies if the idea becomes law.

What a moronic idea! Combined with the proposal to legislate that 40% of the positions in corporate boardrooms have to be held by women the new socialistic goverment will destroy the norwegian economy. Pure communism!

Praying for Cabinet crisis:

Norwegian TV pastor Jan Hanvold urges his Christian viewers to pray for the collapse of Norway's fledgling government.
The preacher from the TV-Visjon Norge channel finds the new left-center "Red-Green Alliance" unacceptable, even though he has no major grudge against two of the three coalition partners. The agrarian Center Party and the dominant Labor Party are not the problem.

"The Labor Party and the Center Party we can swallow, but the Socialist Left stands for a de-Christianizing stance that we just cannot support," Hanvold said on his live program on Thursday evening, the Christian newspaper Magazinet reports.

"Several Christians have asked to pray for the government, but I pray for a Cabinet crisis," Hanvold said. The recent Socialist Left party call to boycott Israel was the final straw.

"We cannot pray and bless such a government, so I urge all Christians sitting and watching to pray for a government crisis," Hanvold said.

"Christ, back in Chicago, we don't make bicycles any more. It's all human relations now. The eggheads sit around trying to figure out new ways for everybody to be happy. Nobody can get fired, no matter what; and if somebody does accidentally make a bicycle, the union accuses us of cruel and inhuman practices and the government confiscates the bicycle for back taxes and gives it to a blind man in Afghanistan."
Yeah, Kurt Vonnegut was sarcastically deriding this point of view in Cats Cradle, but the fact is, he got it right.

Under socialism, if anything actually does get produced, it will get confiscated and given away.

The 40% quota for women isn't communinism. It's a pernicious form of elitism -- sexism, where women are put ahead of men for no other reason than their gender.
We have that elitism too, only it also includes racism where minorities (non-European whites) are put ahead for no other reason than their race.
The euphemism for our evil is "affirmative action."

It is evil and will come back to bite the butts of ALL.

By the way, the buck stops with the voters who put these communists into power.
But, then, you know that.

I'd say this is a pretty safe prediction. As a matter of fact, I'll bet it is going on right now in anticipation of what this misguided government might be capable of.
