"Texas does not have the option of life without parole - there may be others."

I thought I read Rick Perry took care of that a couple of months ago.

Texas does not have the option of life without parole - there may be others.

As of Sept. 1st Texas does have that option. The Supreme Court ruling that will eventually result in the release of some Texas death row inmates who were 17 at the time of their crime was the reason for adding this option.

The worry is that the Supreme Court could rule the death penalty unconstitutional and the result would be hundreds of death row inmates getting out.
