That's what I hear. Though I'm no longer in Georgia, I try to keep up with what's going on back there. I think I'd rather see someone like him elevated to the level where I usually see Bill Owens.
Overall I'd give him a B+. He still lost me when he pushed through that tobacco tax increase.
Georgia political hound here....Sonny is doing a great job and faces reelection next year. He currently leads in the polls and looks good for a final four year term.
Sonny made a name for himself when he called the legislsature into special session after Katrina to remove state taxes from gasoline in the wake of $3.00 per gallon gas. It cut the price from 15 to 20 cents a gallon.
