When you grow up in the hills of east Tennessee, you learn early on how to outrun and outsmart cousins, father-in-laws, and a host of other predators.
However, a knife would be a good weapon. But, in the absence of a knife, a good kick in a sensitive area can produce instant results -- instant enough to give one time to get away :)
A country girl can survive.
In most cases, a kick to the groin definitely will put them down to give you a chance to get away, although, it can take up to 7 seconds to have full effect. Be prepared to land a strong palm heel strike to the nose just to be sure he doesn't get up. That will drop them instantly, I promise.
