I went up to Lowell during the first petition drive, to help out, after a Fellow FReeper tipped me off that the sodomites were hassling the women collecting signatures.

The local dyke's, a grand old English term, were out in force and the cops stood by and did nothing. It is a felony in Mass to interfer with signature collectors.
