If the kidnappers are serious, I'd feel more sorry for a dead cockroach.

All four appeared frightened. I can't understand why.
Aren't these peoples captors the same people these activists are working to defend?

I guess this kidnapping is a hoax and collaborated between the Islamists and the peace activists wanting the coalition troops out. It is a surprise that the kidnapping occured in the area where the Italian anti-America leftist journalist was captured by the kidnappers, probably indicating both set up by these anti-America journalists and activists hiring some Iraqis for a drama.

I guess Liberals/Democrats were behind this setting up a fake kidnapping incident, hiring the local Islamists.

Hmmmmmmmm. Let's see. Release all the prisoners or
see the activists killed. Well, I'd hate to see ANYONE
killed. But we can't let the prisoners go.

So, since these "peace activists" have vehemently condemned the U.S. actions in Iraq, I guess they would have to agree that their own deaths are justified.

Reminds me of a Japan/Middle-East "activist kidnapping" story 'bout a year ago:
some bad, bad Middle-East kidnappers were threatening to kill some Japanese woman who would wail away dramtically on cue on videotape --"Waa waa waa! I don't want to die...! Help me, Japan...!".
They were going to kill her. All of Japan was consumed with the story.
They looked into the matter further; the woman turned out to be a leftist, and she had a long history of contacting various Mid-Eastern baddies in the past.
A total set-up.
The woman was not the kidnappee --the government and media of Japan was.
She was an instigator, and her release was PAID FOR. Ummm...let's just say she wasn't terribly popular upon her return to Japan...

I wonder if they would object if the US Marines stormed the complex, killed the Islamic kidnappers, and rescued them?
Better not risk it. Leave them be.

Did anyone ever presume the end would be any different once they were kidnapped?

Bet these misguided fools would love to see some US Marines right about now.

Why doesn't Congress investigate the inhumane treatment of these po prisoners and demand their Geneva Convention rights as well as UN provided American taxpayer subsidized trial lawyers? (sarcasm)

It's hard but I feel bad for these people. It would be nice if we used this as an excuse to vaporize Al-Jihad TV though.
